HPR-31 Hydrant Pressure Recorder

The hydrant pressure recorder monitors water pressure within any water distribution system. The HPR-31 recorder is a better option than chart recorders because it is more accurate, less costly and require less maintenance.

HPR-31 Battery-Powered Hydrant Pressure Recorder

Applications Include:
  • Investigating pressure complaints
  • Fire flow testing
  • Pressure loss tests
  • Routine pressure monitoring
  • Calibrating hydraulic models
  • Water hammer surge analysis
  • Hydrant capacity testing

Ease of Use

The simplicity of the compact, battery-powered HPR-31 enables you to put it to work within minutes of unpacking. Once installed, the HPR-31 measures water pressure at user programmable rates up to four samples per second with its internal pressure transducer. You can determine how often such data is summarized for reporting. The recorder computes any combination of minimum, average and maximum pressure measurement at each interval according to your selection of statistics and recording intervals. Recorded data may be gathered via an RS-232 connector using a hand-held DTU (Data Transfer Unit) or a laptop.

Battery Power

All Telog hydrant pressure recorders have low power requirements so they can be battery operated. The HPR-31 series uses a single, user-replaceable D cell lithium battery which will last up to five years.

Packaging and Installation

Every hydrant pressure recorder from Telog is a low-profile, rugged unit that is easily installed by one person on a standard 2.5 inch hose nozzle outlet. For ease of mind an optional security cover can be used to prevent vandalism.

Security covers available in three colors.
